USA ePay Announces Retail Agreement with Humboldt Merchant Services

Los Angeles, CA – May 18, 2004. USA ePay was pleased to announce today the partnership with Humboldt Merchant Services to offer HMS Business Partners the new USA ePay Retail program, Retail ePay. The program allows retail merchants to process their wireless transactions at qualified retail rates over the newly developed and certified retail environment on the USA ePay gateway.

Retail ePay works through the already built USA ePay gateway. This allows the wireless retail merchant to enjoy all the reporting benefits that eCommerce merchants receive all while keeping their retail rates. Further, the hardware cost is much less expensive than many stand alone terminals. Within the gateway the retail merchant can now view retail reports and stats in real-time of transactions being processed through their merchant account.

“No more are the days of waiting for a terminal to print out a batch report for the day”, says CEO, Ben Goretsky. “The gateway stores all your transaction history and all the reports and stats it generates can be exported, emailed and printed easily at any time. Merchants will no longer have to shift through stacks of receipts and statements to have an overview of their transactions.”

The Retail ePay technology runs through an IP-based connection such as Cable, ISDN or DSL. This allows transaction to process in the timeframe of 2-4 seconds unlike the common dial-up connections that can take up to 40 seconds. Retail merchants can use their existing high-speed internet connections with Retail ePay and can run multiple transactions all at the same time through one location.

USA ePay has already developed ePay Charge, a stand-alone software that runs on any computer which supports swiped transactions. USA ePay’s Developer’s Center also allows 3rd party vendors and programmers to easily integrate Retail ePay into their software or POS equipment. USA ePay has also developed Wireless ePay which works with a card reader connected to a Java-based cellular phone on any GSM or GPRS supported network such as Cingular, TMobile, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and Nextel.
